Too Tacky Taranaki

This was my biggest project to date at this point in time. I had no idea what to expect, but I had big ambitions. I did every bit of carpentry inside - I milled wood for railings. I learned how to do waterfall stairs. I built my first deck - solo! I removed stucco for the first time (yeesh). I learned that lesson about timelines… like 8-10 weeks, are you serious Denika?! (It ended up being like 18 weeks total).

But my absolute biggest and most important lesson was resilience. I thought I was pretty tough, and this reno kicked my butt a whole bunch, but I learned how to keep getting back up. Every. Time. Too Tacky was a rollercoaster ride of highs and lows, but it was one of the best learning experiences I ever had.
